Great quality at a reasonable price. These blocks knock the socks off the competition. I used them whilst renovating a coffee table and they held the work steady whilst sanding back and allowed me to apply the finish to the top and edges in one operation.

I love these things, I am building a 335 1958 Fat Neck my birth year guitar. These Bench Critters are really handy for this curved body to get it flat and holding it to get my neck angle forward figured out. I just need more so I came to order another set and decided to drop my review. Needless to say me ordering another set proves they are Frugal Fixer Spike approved product.
I also found a use for them on my CNC, to support the scarf joint neck setup. Will be making a video once I get it on my machine.

It’s a pleasure when sanding a project, no clamps are needed! The grip from the blocks securely holds the wood. Washing them with mild soap and water maintains the grip to the bench and wood project. I’ve also used the blocks during the finishing phase as oil is being applied. The blocks are laid down for this application. The blocks, once set up vertically with the narrow edge, work well for allowing the oiled surfaces to dry. Care must be taken as they can wobble a little bit. Blocks will get washed again with very warm water and soap which restores them.
They work so much better than any of the other cone shaped hard plastic products that are on the market which leave indentations and or scratch the finished surface. In the past, I’ve had to refinish a couple of projects as they were damaged from the cone shaped products, but this is no longer the case.
I bought a total of three sets of GECKO blocks. This is convenient when there are multiple projects being finished at the same time. The silicone blocks are my go to!! Thank you Bench Critters!
